Supporting People Affected by Cancer
The Cancer Wellness Centre is a holistic centre dedicated to providing excellence in cancer support, learning and cancer prevention.
For West Australians affected in some way by cancer, it offers a uniquely integrative cancer support campus, conveniently drawing together the services of its four cancer support member organisations, being Solaris Cancer Care, Breast Cancer Care WA, melanomaWA and the Brady Cancer Support Foundation.
The long term intention is for the Cancer Wellness Centre to become widely recognised as an innovative, world class cancer wellness shared facility, serving and supporting people with cancer who are looking for wellness options, lifestyle strategies and emotional support.
The Cancer Wellness Centre campus is located at the site of the renowned historical Wanslea House in Cottesloe. This WA heritage-listed asset is managed by the National Trust of Australia (WA).
A multi-million dollar building grant from Lotterywest to the National Trust WA funded the extensive renovation of this historic landmark during 2013-2014. Additional financial support for this exceptional restorative architectural building project came from the Brady Cancer Support Foundation with strategic support funding from BHP Billiton.
